Stundum smellur allt, stílisering og umgjörð. Svört stílhrein húsgögn, gömul málverk á veggjum, kristallljósakrónur, marmaragólf, mikil lofthæð, guðdómlegt útsýni og kaktusinn; nýjasta stíliseringaæðið. Ef að ég væri rosa rík þá myndi ég kaupa þessa 200m2 íbúð í Gautaborg  sem er á söluskrá hjá Alvhem og halda húsgögnum, ljósakrónum, veggverkum og kaktusum. Fara svo út á svalirnar og anda að mér sænsku vorlofti . Um kvöldið myndi ég dást að borgar útsýninu úr einu turnherberginu og hugsa til mormor (ömmu) og morfar (afa).

Sometimes everything just clicks, the styling and the framing. Black modern furniture, old portraits on the walls, the chandeliers, marble floor, extra ceiling height, a devine view and the cactus plants: the new and trendy styling item. If I were extremely rich I would buy this 200 sq.m apartment in Gothenburg that is on sale at Alvhem and keep the furniture, wallart, chandeliers and the cactus plants. Go out to the balcony and breath in the Swedish spring air. In the evening I‘d go into one of the tower rooms to enjoy the city view and think of my mormor (grandmother) and morfar (grandfather).

En svakalegt er að sjá eldhúsið og baðherbergin sem hafa ekki verið gerð í neinu samræmi við tignarlega íbúð og nýja flísalögnin óvönduð og síður en svo fagmannlega unnin.  Viðbætur eða breytingar þurfa að vera í tenglsum við það sem fyrir er!

But what a shock it was to see the kitchen and bathrooms that are in no connection with this grand flat and notice the new tile work in the bathrooms that is not professionally done.  Add-ons and renovations need to be in relation to its surroundings!
